Manarola, one of the jewels of the Cinque Terre, is famous for its colourful houses perched on steep cliffs and its breathtaking views over the Mediterranean.
This picturesque village, part of the Cinque Terre, is a perfect example of the traditional fishing settlements of the Italian Riviera, with a history dating back to the 12th century.
Accessible by train via the Cinque Terre line, Manarola can also be reached by sea or by hiking trails from the other Cinque Terre villages.
